Allison Pregler Bio

Allison Pregler is an avid film critic who reviews Z-graded films, mostly in the horror and martial arts genres. Her style and approach are similar to that of The Cinema Snob. However she prefers to review crappy action films that have a twisted fascination. After earning some recognition on the forums on Channel Awesome (under her previous name Obscurus Lupa) and began her write reviews in late 2009. Beginning in early 2015, she joined the channel as Obscurus Lupa Presents evolved to Movie Nights. She has two podcasts co-hosted and covering Charmed. After a controversial departure from Channel Awesome Allison officially announced on January 20th 2015 that she'd be revamping OLP into an impromptu review show called Movie Nights with an appropriately-shlocky elevator jazz theme. Brad Jones' film Jesus Bro! was also featuring her. and was often a guest on his series Midnight Screenings typically reviewing terrible children's films or RiffTrax live shows in addition to the occasional adult comedy (including of course Baywatch (2017)). When she began reviewing films in 2009 her name was a hit through the Channel Awesome forums. After becoming part of the official group that comprises Channel Awesome reviewers, she gained a lot of attention. She has been on countless Channel Awesome episodes, including Atop the Fourth Wall as and Phelous & the Movies. She was featured on numerous seasons of Nostalgia Critic and was a past member of the family that Channel Awesome had together with Doug Walker.

Barone was a part of The Shoes, an episode of Seinfeld's fourth season as Gail Cunningham, a chef that wanted Elaine Benes' shoes. Barone was a cast member of Carol & Company, starring with Carol Burnett in the early 1990s.
