She is known for her role as Marina Cooper on Guiding Light as well as Marcy Brender on Dawson's Creek. She appeared in two episodes on Showtime's Weeds, starring Mary Louise Parker. Her roles include Judy Kramer as a Fox 2005 show Point Pleasant, and Marcy playing a character on Dawson's Creek. On the Guiding Light soap production, she was Marina Cooper. This role earned her an award nomination from Soap Opera Digest in 2003, for the Outstanding Newcomer. Dollar played in the ABC soap opera Women's Murder Club as Cindy Thomas between 2007 until in 2008. She also portrayed Happy Valley in the 2012 NBC pilot, but it did not get selected for the series.
